E.S. College of Nursing — widely known as ESCON — is a well-established nursing institution located on the Chennai–Trichy National Highway (NH-45) in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu. Established by E.S. Charities and set up in 2008, the college has grown into the only fully-fledged nursing college in Villupuram district that offers postgraduate nursing programmes — a distinction that reflects its depth of infrastructure and commitment to nursing education at every level.

ESCON is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council (TNMC), and approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The college is also accredited by NAAC with a B++ grade — which is an independent quality assurance certification that gives students confidence about the institution's academic standards and infrastructure.

What genuinely sets ESCON apart from many nursing colleges is its own 300-bed multi-specialty hospital right on the campus. This means students are not simply trained in labs — they get real, supervised patient-facing exposure from their very first year. The college is also affiliated with a 650-bed tertiary care hospital for extended clinical training, giving students broad exposure across specialties and patient types that is hard to match elsewhere.

The campus spans 9 acres of green land, with modern classrooms, well-equipped nursing labs, a library covering 3,500 sq. ft. with access to national and international nursing journals, a dedicated research department, hostel facilities, and a cafeteria. With 48 experienced faculty members guiding over 565 enrolled students, the teacher-student environment remains engaged and personal.

ESCON offers nursing education at the diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels — making it a place where a student can begin with ANM or GNM and continue all the way to M.Sc Nursing, all at the same trusted institution.
